Kate Middleton 'asked for discount' at antiques shop claims owner

The couple bought the bed from a firm called Healthbeds based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire and will now use it in their new home at Kensington Palace in London. Owner David Smeaton, 51, told the Daily Mail: "We got a call out of the blue from one of the Duchess's staff asking if we could provide one like the model they slept in. Kate keeps an eye out for a bargain The Duchess of Cambridge asked for a DISCOUNT in an antiques shop, the owner has claimed. Thrifty Kate, 31, is said to have haggled over the bill after going shopping while pregnant with baby George.
